All vehicles with less than 125,000 miles sold by ZLK Auto Fair are automatically protected by the Massachusetts Used Vehicle Lemon Law. There are different levels of protection. For vehicles sold with less than 40,000 miles, you have 90 days/3750 miles for ZLK Auto Fair to repair any defects affecting safety, performance and/or emissions. For vehicles sold with 40,000 to 79,999 miles, you have 60 days/2500 miles. For vehicles sold with 80,000 to 124,999 miles, you have 30 days/1250 miles. Exceptions to this include: defects that affect appearance only; are covered by the manufacturer’s express warranty and the dealer assures that the repairs were made; are caused by negligence, abuse, vandalism, or accidents unrelated to the defect; are caused by repair attempts made by someone other than the dealer, its agent, or the manufacturer; are caused by substantial change made by you to the car. Any repair performed by ZLK Auto Fair or its agent(s) on a covered defect during the warranty period carries its own 30-day warranty. Additional warranty coverages are available as an optional add-on so you can give yourself peace of mind and enhanced protection for your vehicle investment. These coverages are called “Service Contracts.” Each service contract affords you different levels of protection over specific components or all components within your vehicle. You also can decide for how many months/miles you agree to extend your warranty protection. Because service contracts are VIN and mileage specific, the pricing varies. You just need to pay a deductible (usually $100) and have the option to let us do the repairs that fall under warranty, or you can take it to another shop of your choosing (please confirm if the shop of your choosing is willing and able to work with your specific service contract provider).
